Reopening & Lincolnshire Squash Challenge
Reopening
As most of you will have seen, the government's roadmap out of lockdown was recently released. This suggests that gyms and indoor sports venues may be able to reopen from 12th April, and so we expect some form of reopening on this date although it is not yet clear how much squash activity will be permitted at this point. We will wait for more guidance from the government/England Squash regarding this.
27th March: Lincolnshire Squash Challenge
On Saturday 27th March, the club is taking part in a 'Lincolnshire Squash Challenge'. The idea is that squash players and their friends and family from around the county take part in a run, walk or cycle on that day, and submit the details of this to Lincolnshire Squash, recording that they are taking part for Boston.
This is a friendly competition between clubs around the county, and there is a total £1,000 cash prize fund for clubs across various categories - e.g. greatest distance, most junior participants etc. Therefore as well as being a fantastic event to get squash players around the county out and about again, as we get closer to reopening, this is an opportunity to win funds for our club!
You do not have to be a member of the club to represent Boston in this event - family and friends can take part in our name too - indeed they are very strongly encouraged to! Therefore please spread the word far and wide and earmark 27th March in your diary for this event, and begin to plan your activities!
